AMP UP Sports Nutrition is a division of Vertex Body Sciences, which was founded initially in 2006 by Todd Williams, a former college athlete, Army Airborne Specialist, and Harvard Business School alumnus. As a former walk-on college athlete, minor league football player and current USA Track and Field Masters athlete, Todd recognized that athletes in the lesser exposed professional sports don’t get the recognition they deserve for their hard work and grit day in and day out. These are the athletes “ON THE COME UP”.

AMP UP Sports Nutrition was founded for these athletes, to help fuel their physical training and nutritional goals, and in turn fuel their dreams for playing their chosen sport on the next level.

Todd, with the help of his team of personal trainers, began selling custom formulated nutrition products to a handful of select clients in 2006, and then in 2010 to celebrity and busy professional clients from his chain of private fitness studios he founded previously.

In 2011 gross sale totaled $119,000, and in less than 1 years’ time sales reached $11.8 million and made VERTEX Body Sciences the #19 Fastest Growing Company in America on INC Magazine’s INC500 list, growing at a rate of 10,000%.

AMP UP Sports Nutrition is headquartered in Las Vegas, with private food manufacturing warehouses in Columbus, OH, and Los Angeles, CA.

Our Executive Team

Todd Williams

CEO + Co-Founder

Todd is a former college athlete, ex-Army Airborne Specialist, host on NBC TV for 8 years, competed on the hit TV show American Gladiators and 2015 Harvard Business School graduate and class leader; studied sports medicine at The Ohio State University. Todd is also a current USA Track and Field Masters athlete.

As founder/CEO of Vertex Body Sciences / AMP UP Sports Nutrition the #19 fastest growing company in America 2013-15 by Inc magazine others to receive the honor include Under Armour, Dell, Uber, PowerBar, Quest Nutrition, Twitter and many others.

Todd has trained hundreds of NFL, MLB, USTA pro athletes, Victoria Secret and Ford models and first time sports competitors in fitness and figure shows and endurance competitions, many winning their first event.

Melinda Inks

COO + Co-Founder

Melinda is a Former Ms. Fitness U.S.A. 3rd Place winner and fitness magazine model, NBC TV Athlete of the month, former sideline reporter for the NFLs Miami Dolphins, lost 65lbs to become a fitness competitor and studied exercise science at University of North Carolina.

Melinda is also a celebrity trainer and has competed and won several track events and powerlifting meets

Melinda is the driving force and COO of Vertex Body Sciences / AMP UP Sports Nutrition the #19 fastest growing company in America 2013-15 by Inc magazine others to receive the honor include Under Armour, Dell, Uber, PowerBar, Quest Nutrition, Twitter and many others.

She has over 15 years of successfully training first time sports competitors in fitness and figure shows and endurance competitions, many winning their first event.

Brittany Dorsey

Brand Marketing Manager + Co-Founder

Brittany is Ohio Wesleyan graduate; majoring in sports psychology and Brand Marketing Manager of Vertex Body Sciences / AMP UP Sports Nutrition the #19 fastest growing company in America 2013-15 by Inc magazine others to receive the honor include Under Armour, Dell, Uber, PowerBar, Quest Nutrition, Twitter and many others.

She is currently the co-host of the nationally syndicated CNBC Radio show “Makin It”, a U.S. Gymnastics Athlete masters division, Celebrity Personal Trainer – over 15 years of experience.

Brittany has years of experience training and preparing Army Special Forces soldiers, gymnasts, figure competitors, powerlifting competitors, and professional models.

Dr. Eric Fete

Medical / Scientific Adviser + Nutrition Product R&D Team

Dr. Eric’s motto is “Learning from the past, living for today, transforming the future.” He is a graduate of Miami University with a BA in microbiology and a medical degree from the prestigious Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr Fete’s area of expertise includes general health and performance nutrition. He is also certified in Age Management Medicine. Dr. Eric’s background includes a lifetime of nutrition and athletic experience; his primary involvement being wrestling and martial arts. He is also an avid practitioner of meditation.

He owns and maintains the premier cosmetic medical practice in Ohio called Artemis Health Center. He has worked nearly a decade in the ER, does counseling at an addiction clinic, and is an avid health and fitness enthusiast.

Leslie Neal

Independent Design Consultant

Leslie works individually and collaboratively with the creative team to develop and implement exceptional marketing concepts and broad-spectrum campaigns.

She also drafts, produces and distributes external communications materials including press releases, web content, training manuals and collateral materials to ensure overall brand consistency.

She also has experience sourcing and working with vendors on a variety of retail packaging solutions.

Leslie is a graduate of Ohio University in Marketing and attended JD Campus London.

Spirit Novel

Independent Design + Packaging Consultant

Spirit’s expertise in the graphic design and digital retouching is one of the best in the industry. She has managed an array of projects from brand conception and design, product packaging, website and promotional materials, as well as photoshoots and retouching projects. She works closely with the C-suite to bring concepts and ethos to life.

Responsibilities include: Art direction and product packaging for branding and social media projects. Coordinate freelance developers, consultants and vendors to meet project requirements for print and web. Manage brand photoshoots, coordinate photographers, models and materials, and see the project through to final product.

Spirit attended UCLA and Santa Monica College in design, entertainment and technology.
